I'm moving this month into my first real apartment! It's not the greatest place and it's not in the best part of town but it's all mine and I can make it however I want!! Well for the exception that I have a roommate so technically the place is Shade and I's but he said I could do whatever I like with the place which is awesome. I'm so excited and scared shitless at the same time. Last time I tried living on my own I failed miserably. I'm just hoping that I can make this work. The rent is 950$ a month plus electricity (they say usually around 30-40 bucks per month) and that's the lowest we could find in Eagle River that accepted cats and had two bedrooms. That in itself isn't too bad but then I have to tack on the cost of food,gas, and car insurance... It's a little overwhelming. I hoping, no I'm Praying that this will all work out at least for Shades sake for if this doesn't work out I don't know where he will live. I'm working two jobs, twelve hours a day, five to six days a week so if I budget REALLY well we should be able to swing it. It does mean that a lot of my hobbies, probably including my zen, will have to be put on hold for quite some time. That means no more buying books, no more spending on art supplies, no more buying beads for bead work, and no more internet. We just can't afford internet and cable, yet. So I won't be on here very often anymore, only when I can swing in at my parents or tony's place. Sacrifices have to be made and hobbies are Not edible. Atleast I have a nice amount of beads to work with, and I can always reread my books, and I do still have some paints( though not much and I'm down to my last canvas but I'm bound to run into some cardboard I can scavenge for canvas).
One step at a time. Packing my enormous amount of stuff is step one.
